My friend, if the two casinos did not fail, it means many singaporeans losses money and many families are broken. If the casinos failed, it means that the singapore economy is not doing well. Either way, with two casinos being built on tiny singapore is so obvious that the govt wants to kill it's people, *censored* them dry and leave them to die.[/quote]
govt first is to save themselves irregardless, singaporean is secondary and can be sacrifice.

Dun worry, good garment provides counsellors, bigger IMH, ministers provide personal service, "Let Me Know". They provide advertisement to education the people the danger of gambling. Dun worry be happy. Few forumers wrote siiliporeans always depend on good garment, so dun worry.
I know you are being "indirect" in your critique and I agree. I have never been for the IRs of this scale. The fact is that to make money out of the casinoes it is the local populaton that most time contribute to the bottom-line. Let's not kid ourselves that the profit will mainly come from big time gamblers overseas. With the restrictions in place against locals patronising "big time" the casinoes I find this incomprehensible.
I am very angst that a survey done before the final decision on locals revealed that 48% are against building casinoes. I in fact argued with one of our decision makers who sidetracked that since so many S'poreans go into international waters to patronise floating casinoes why not make it convenient to have them in S'pore. I am aggrieved too that despite the negative submissions of all the major religious organisations the leadership appears to be insensitive.

aiyo, family tragedies are also part of sg world class story, must have mah.
After the IRs are in operation, the Govt will soon learn how to hush-hush things up so that all these suicides will not affect the multibillion dollar tourism industry.
The Marina Sand 's SKY PARK is a perfect place for making one's final leap to heaven.
two things confirm will happen:
1. Ah Loan Pte Ltd industry will boomz... shingz...
2. PRC meimei will jump ship from ZhuHai to Marina... hopefully we'll get those "value for money"
YA bring oso all sexual diseases to singapore rite???
I've said it before, with the opening of two casinos in tiny singapore, more people will borrow from ah long and property price sure drop like crazy. Singapore is so boring and small and hot in addition to it's in the chinese blood to gamble. U think the govt dun know all these? Of course they know but money is the most important thing in singapore society, not friendship or relationship. There is a law in loansharking, u happy to borrow as no one force u so when u return the money, then friendship is return if not we will work accordingly. From next year onwards, u will see alot of people playing hide and seek in public as they run road. Singapore will be the vice of asia and turf will be fought. Hoot ah........
Quite an accurate prediction - Let's hope we don't see so many suicide cases brought about by the 2 IRs. We will never know until they are in operation and the impact it will have on the larger community???
